Amit Shah, a Chicago-born American Indian, discovered his passion for fashion at an early age, inspired by his first mentor—his mother. Her keen sense of style and nurturing guidance shaped Amit’s deep connection to fashion, motivating him to pursue formal education at Columbia College Chicago, where he earned a B.A. in Fashion Studies.
Amit has worked with renowned brands such as Guess Jeans Inc., Banana Republic, and Macy’s as a Beauty Merchandiser. His career flourished when he joined Āve India Design Collective - New York as Assistant Manager, later being promoted to Director of Public Relations. In this role, Amit assisted in styling notable personalities such as Peloton's Aditi Shah and TV host Kelly Ripa for events like Diwali at the White House and The Taj Pierre Hotel.
A Journey Through Fashion
Amit’s career is defined by his ability to blend traditional South Asian styles with modern trends, offering his clients a unique and culturally rich approach to fashion. His professional journey has taken him abroad to the University of East London, where he studied Fashion Marketing, and back to the U.S., where he gained invaluable experience interning at Aashni & Co., as well as assisting with a Bollywood celebrity feature and cover shoot for Khush Bridal Magazine.

Now, as the franchise owner of Āve India Design Collective - Chicago, Amit brings his vision to life, offering a curated collection of Indian and Pakistani bridal wear, menswear, and ready-to-wear pieces. Through Shah Style Inc., he aims to bridge the gap between tradition and contemporary fashion, creating a platform where clients can express their personal style while celebrating their cultural heritage.
