Return and Exchange Policy
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR RETURNS, EXCHANGES, AND ALTERATIONS
Āve India Design Collective - Chicago
1. ALL SALES ARE FINAL
All purchases made at Āve India Design Collective - Chicago are final. No exchanges, returns, or refunds will be granted under any circumstances, except as required by law.
2. JEWELRY AND SALE ITEMS
Jewelry: Due to health and safety regulations, all jewelry purchases are final sale once they leave the store.
Sale Items: Items purchased on sale are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange.
3. MADE-TO-MEASURE ORDERS
Final Sale: Made-to-measure items, customized to your specific size, color, and style preferences, are final sale. Although these items are crafted according to your provided measurements, further alterations may be necessary. Please refer to the alteration policy below for additional details.
Issues with Delivered Items: If there are concerns with made-to-measure items delivered to you, you must notify us via email at aveindiadesign.chicago@gmail.com within 48 hours of receipt, providing photos and a description of the issue.
Color Variation Disclaimer: Slight color variations may occur due to the nature of hand-dyed fabrics. Additionally, the actual color of products may differ slightly from images displayed on our website due to photo editing, lighting being used, and variations in monitor displays. Āve India Design Collective - Chicago cannot guarantee exact color matches, as screen settings vary.
4. OFF-THE-RACK/READY-TO-SHIP ITEMS
Alteration Services: Āve India Design Collective - Chicago does not offer alteration services for off-the-rack items. We are not liable for any policies or pricing set by third-party tailors recommended by us.
Condition: Ready-to-ship items available in our Schaumburg, IL storefront may have been tried on, used in photoshoots, or serve as sample pieces for retail and ordering purposes. These items are sold as-is.
5. ALTERATIONS FOR MADE-TO-MEASURE AND STANDARD SIZE ORDERS
Effective November 1, 2024: Āve India Design Collective - Chicago and Shah Style Inc. are not directly affiliated with any alteration specialists, seamstresses, or tailors. We do not provide on-site alterations. The consumer assumes full responsibility for all communications regarding alteration needs. Āve India Design Collective - Chicago will not be held liable for any alterations conducted by third-party vendors.
Complimentary Alteration: For made-to-measure orders exceeding $3,000 per piece, we offer one complimentary alteration. Any communication or alterations done directly between the client and a third-party vendor, outside the presence of Shah Style Inc., will nullify this service.
Additional Alterations: For orders below $2,999, any required alterations are the client’s responsibility. Additional alterations for orders exceeding $3,000 will be billed based on the tailor’s quote.
Grooms and Menswear Alteration Policy
For all made-to-measure or standard-sized menswear orders, we offer one complimentary alteration. However, please note the following terms and conditions:
1. Third-Party Alterations: Any communication or alterations conducted directly between the client and a third-party vendor, outside of Shah Style Inc.'s presence, will nullify the complimentary alteration service.
2. Additional Alterations: If further alterations or tailoring are required, the client will be responsible for paying any remaining balance owed to the tailor prior to the delivery of the item.
6. DELIVERY AND PICKUP POLICY
Delivery Timeline
Our custom outfits are crafted with precision and care to ensure a perfect fit, just for you. Please allow approximately 8 to 14 weeks from the time of your order for production and delivery. Timelines may vary depending on the designer.

Notification: You will be notified via text or email when your outfit is ready for pickup or delivery.
Pickup Timeframe: You have 60 days to pick up your item once it arrives at our store. After 60 days, a $100 storage fee will be applied.
Extended Holding Period: If the item remains unclaimed for 180 days, it will be classified as "unclaimed," and the product may no longer be available for pickup.
7. CONDITION OF RETURNED ITEMS
If a return is permitted due to product damage upon arrival, the item must be in new, unworn condition, with all tags attached, and in its original packaging (including boxes and garment bags).
Damaged Items: If the product arrives damaged, you must notify us at aveindiadesign.chicago@gmail.com within 48 hours of receiving the order, including photos of the issue. Failure to notify us within this timeframe may result in a declined return request.
Non-Acceptance of Returns: Items returned with damages not originally present upon delivery—such as makeup or deodorant stains, rips, missing parts, or broken closures—will not be accepted and will be returned at the customer’s expense.
8. RIGHT TO DECLINE RETURNS
Āve India Design Collective - Chicago reserves the right to decline any return that does not meet our return policy standards. Items sent back in unacceptable condition will be returned to the customer, and any associated shipping charges will be the customer’s responsibility.
9. SIZE
We provide size charts from each designer we work with. However, some designers impose additional charges for sizes above Bust 40/Chest 44, with the surcharge increasing for larger sizes. These additional charges may be applied after the initial purchase, and you will be required to pay any outstanding balance before delivery of the outfit.
10. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS
By using our website or communicating with us via email, you consent to receive electronic communications from us. Any notices or communications provided electronically will satisfy any legal requirements for written notices.
11. CANCELLATIONS BY THE USER
Order cancellations may be requested within 24 hours of placing an order on our website. Āve India Design Collective - Chicago reserves the right to accept or deny any cancellation requests at our discretion. Refunds will not be issued; however, a customer may use the amount for a different purchase within the store.
12. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Āve India Design Collective - Chicago reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers are encouraged to review these policies regularly for any changes.
